OPTIMASI FORMULA SEDIAAN SAMPO EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KIRINYUH (Chromolaena odorata) DENGAN KOMBINASI SURFAKTAN
ABSTRAK
Tanaman kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) merupakan tanaman yang
berpotensi sebagai pedikulisidal karena memiliki kandungan metabolit sekunder
seperti flavonoid, tanin, dan alkaloid yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi sediaan
sampo pedikulisidal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi
optimum kombinasi surfaktan sodium lauryl sulfat dan cocamidopropyl betaine
serta sifat fisik formula optimum sediaan sampo ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh.
Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan yaitu maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96% dan
penentuan kadar flavonoid total menggunakan metode kolorimetri. Desain
optimasi formula ditentukan dengan metode Simplex Lattice Design (SLD)
menggunakan Design Expert versi 13. Verifikasi formula optimum dilakukan
dengan SPSS versi 24 menggunakan one sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi
95%. Formula optimum dievaluasi sifat fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, pH,
viskositas, dan tinggi busa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persen rendemen
ekstrak sebesar 23,9% dan kadar flavonoid total ekstrak sebelum dan sesudah
deklorofilasi yaitu 57,55?0,119 mgQE/g ekstrak dan 37,91?0,097 mgQE/g
ekstrak. Formula optimum terdapat pada campuran konsentrasi 5,5% sodium
lauryl sulfat dan 5,5% cocamidopropyl betaine. Formula optimum yang diperoleh
memiliki nilai pH 7,86?0,015; viskositas 3644?45,431 cp dan tinggi busa
9,06?0,058 cm. Sifat fisik pH, viskositas dan tinggi busa antara formula optimum
hasil prediksi software Design Expert versi 13 dengan hasil percobaan
menggunakan one sample t-test tidak berbeda bermakna (p>0,05). Sediaan sampo
ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh memenuhi persyaratan sediaan sampo yang baik.

ABSTRACT
The kirinyuh plant (Chromolaena odorata) is a plant that has potential as a
pediculicidal because it contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids,
tannins and alkaloids which can be developed into pediculicidal shampoo
preparations. This research aims to determine the optimum concentration of the
surfactant combination of sodium lauryl sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine as
well as the physical properties of the optimum formula for the ethanol extract of
kirinyuh leaf shampoo. The extraction method used was maceration with 96%
ethanol solvent and determination of total flavonoid content using the colorimetric
method. The formula optimization design was determined using the Simplex
Lattice Design (SLD) method using Design Expert version 13. Verification of the
optimum formula was carried out with SPSS version 24 using a one sample t-test
with a significance level of 95%. The optimum formula is evaluated for physical
properties including organoleptic tests, pH, viscosity and foam height. The results
showed that the percent yield of the extract was 23.9% and the total flavonoid
content of the extract before and after dechlorophyllation was 57,55?0,119
mgQE/g extract and 37,91?0,097 mgQE/g extract. The optimum formula is found
in a concentration mixture of 5.5% sodium lauryl sulfate and 5.5%
cocamidopropyl betaine. The optimum formula obtained has a pH value of 7.86 ?
0.015; viscosity 3644 ? 45.431 cp and foam height 9.06 ? 0.058 cm. The physical
properties of pH, viscosity and foam height between the optimum formula
predicted by the Design Expert version 13 software and the experimental results
using one sample t-test were not significantly different (p>0.05). Kirinyuh leaf
ethanol extract shampoo preparation meets the requirements for a good shampoo
preparation.
