HUBUNGAN ANTARA KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DENGAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN INTELEGENSI ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI TELAGA LEBUR KECAMATAN SEKOTONG KABUPATEN LOMBOK BARAT

HUBUNGAN ANTARA KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DENGAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN INTELEGENSI ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI TELAGA LEBUR KECAMATAN SEKOTONG KABUPATEN LOMBOK BARAT
Latar Belakang: Rendahnya kadar hemoglobin atau anemia telah menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Keadaan anemia pada siswa sekolah dasar dapat mempengaruhi intelegensi, perkembangan kognitif, perilaku, dan prestasi akademik anak. Kecerdasan intelektual yang tidak menetap pada usia tertentu dapat berubah karena faktor genetik, gizi, dan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kadar hemoglobin dengan kecerdasan intelegensi anak Sekolah Dasar Negeri Telaga Lebur Kecamatan Sekotong Kabupaten Lombok Barat.
Metode: Penelitian analitik dengan desain cross sectional ini dilakukan pada populasi siswa kelas 3 s/d 6 Sekolah Dasar Negeri Telaga Lebur, Sekotong, Lombok Barat, tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan metode consecutive sampling terhadap 67 sampel siswa. Kadar hemoglobin diukur menggunakan Point of Care Testing (POCT) Hemoglobin. Instrumen untuk mengukur kecerdasan intelektual dengan tes intelegensi Colours Progressive Matrices (CPM) yang dipandu oleh psikolog. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square.
Hasil: Hasil penelitian diketahui 35 anak (52,2%) dengan kadar hemoglobin rendah dan 32 anak (47,8%) memiliki kadar hemoglobin normal. Sebanyak 28 anak (41,8%) dengan Intelectually Average, 18 anak (26,9%) dengan Definitely Below The Average In Intellectual Capacity, 11 anak (16,4%) dengan Intelectually Defective, dan 10 anak (14,9%) dengan Definitely Above The Average In Intellectual Capacity. Hasil uji Chi Square diperoleh nilai p = 0,014.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara kadar hemoglobin dengan kecerdasan intelegensi anak Sekolah Dasar Negeri Telaga Lebur Kecamatan Sekotong Kabupaten Lombok Barat.

ASSOCIATION BETWEEN HEMOGLOBIN LEVEL AND INTELLIGENCE QUOTIENT ON STUDENTS OF TELAGA LEBUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN SEKOTONG, WEST LOMBOK
Background: Low hemoglobin (Hb) level or anemia has been becoming health issues in Indonesia. The condition of anemia by students of elementary school can influence the intelligent, cognitive development, behavior, and academic achievement of the children. Intelligence Quotient (IQ) will not settle at a certain age and can change due to genetic factors, nutrition, and the environment. The objective is to know association between hemoglobin level and IQ on students of Telaga Lebur elementary school in Sekotong, West Lombok.
Methods: Method of analitic study with cross sectional design. Population are students of classes 3 until 6 elementary school of Telaga Lebur, Sekotong, West Lombok, lecture of academic year 2016/2017. Sample was taken by consecutive sampling, obtained 67 students. Measuring of instruments IQ with Colours Progressive Matrices (CPM) Intelligence Quotient Test, guided by psychologists. Hemoglobin was measured using a Point of Care Testing (POCT) Hemoglobin. Data analysis use Chi Square test.
Results: Results of the study known 35 students (52,2%) have low hemoglobin level and 32 students (47,8%) have normal hemoglobin level.
