PENGARUH DIET LACTO VEGETARIAN TERHADAP PEMENUHAN ANGKA KECUKUPAN GIZI HARIAN PADA KOMUNITAS VEGETARIAN DI KECAMATAN GERUNG

PENGARUH DIET LACTO VEGETARIAN TERHADAP PEMENUHAN ANGKA KECUKUPAN GIZI HARIAN PADA KOMUNITAS VEGETARIAN DI KECAMATAN GERUNG

Latar belakang: Diet vegetarian telah mengalami peningkatan popularitas pada saat ini. Diet vegetarian dikaitkan dengan banyak manfaat kesehatan, salah satunya dapat menurunkan risiko terkena berbagai penyakit. Namun, jika tidak dilakukan dengan pola diet vegetarian yang benar akan mengakibatkan kekurangan nutrisi dan kekurangan asupan gizi yang cukup baik zat gizi makro maupun zat gizi mikro sehingga seseorang yang menerapkan diet vegetarian dapat mempengaruhi angka kecukupan gizi harian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh diet vegetarian terhadap pemenuhan angka kecukupan gizi harian pada komunitas lacto vegetarian di kecamatan Gerung.
Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian non eksperimental dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah komunitas lacto vegetarian di kecamatan Gerung Lombok Barat. Anggota komunitas yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dimasukkan sebagai subjek penelitian dan didapatkan 32 subjek, kemudian dilakukan pengisian kuesioner dan wawancara untuk mengetahui jumlah asupan makanan total selama 24 jam. Kemudian hasilnya dibandingkan dengan tabel angka kecukupan gizi harian menurut Depkes RI 2013. Analisis data digunakan uji korelasi Pearson.
Hasil: Dari 32 subjek penelitian, terdapat 11 orang (34,4%) memiliki angka kecukupan gizi yang tergolong cukup serta terdapat 21 orang (65,6%) memiliki angka kecukupan gizi yang tergolong kurang. Berdasarkan uji korelasi dengan uji Pearson diperoleh hasil bahwa keteraturan frekuensi makan subjek penelitian yang menerapkan diet vegetarian tidak mempengaruhi angka kecukupan gizi harian pada anggota komunitas Lacto vegetarian di kecamatan Gerung (p = 0,604), dengan nilai kekuatan antar variabel sangat lemah (r = 0,095).
Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat pengaruh antara diet lacto vegetarian berdasarkan keteraturan frekuensi makan dengan angka kecukupan gizi harian pada anggota komunitas lacto vegetarian di kecamatan Gerung.

THE EFFECT OF LACTO VEGETARIAN DIET TOWARDS MEETHING THE DAILY NUTRITIONAL ADEQUACY RATE IN A LACTO VEGETARIAN COMMUNITY AT GERUNG DISTRICT

Background: At the moment, the popularity of vegetarian diet has been increasing. A vegetarian diet is associated with many health benefits, one of them is to reduce the risk of various diseases. However, if not done with right vegetarian diet, it will lead to nutritional deficiencies both macro nutrients and micronutrients so that someone who adopt a vegetarian diet can affect the daily nutritional adequacy rate. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a vegetarian diet on the fulfillment of the daily nutritional adequacy rate in lacto vegetarian community in Gerung district.
Method: This research is a non-experimental research with cross sectional design. The population in this study are lacto vegetarian community in Gerung district, West Lombok. Community members who meet the inclusion criteria has been included as a research subject and it has been obtained 32 subjects, then the questionnaires were distributed to the subjects to fill out and they were interviewed to determine the amount of total food intake for 24 hours. Then the results were compared with the daily nutritional adequacy rate table according to the Depkes RI (Indonesian Ministry of Health), 2013. The data analysis used Pearson correlation test.
Results: Of the 32 study subjects, there were 11 (34.4%) had quite number of nutrient adequacy and there were 21 people (65.6%) had relatively less number of nutrient adequacy. Pearson test gave results that the regularity of eating frequency of research subjects who adopt a vegetarian diet does not affect the daily nutritional adequacy rate in Lacto vegetarians community members Gerung district (p = 0.604), with a value between the variable is very weak (r = 0.095).
Conclusion: There is no influence of lacto vegetarian diet based on food frequency regularity with daily nutritional adequacy rate in members of lacto vegetarian community Gerung district.
