ABSTRAK
PENGARUH PAPARAN UAP HERBAL ANTINYAMUK YANG
MENGANDUNG EKSTRAK SERAI DAPUR, SERAI WANGI,
LAVENDER, NILAM, DAN LEMON TERHADAP KADAR GLUTATION
(GSH) SEL ERITROSIT RATTUS NORVEGICUS

Latar belakang: Demam berdarah telah menunjukkan peningkatan kasus 30 kali
lipat secara global selama lima dekade terakhir. Indonesia merupakan salah satu
negara endemik demam berdarah. Vektor utama demam berdarah adalah nyamuk
Aedes aegypti. Penggunaan insektisida alami relatif lebih aman bagi manusia
maupun lingkungan karena senyawa aktifnya mudah terurai di lingkungan
dibandingkan penggunaan insektisida kimiawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh paparan uap herbal yang mengandung ekstrak serai dapur,
serai wangi, lavender, nilam, dan lemon terhadap kadar glutation (GSH) sel
eritrosit Rattus norvegicus.
Metode: Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental post test only
control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah hewan coba spesies Ratus
norvegicus strain wistar dewasa dan sehat. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3
kelompok, yaitu 1 kelompok kontrol (K) dan 2 kelompok perlakuan (P) yang
diberi paparan uap herbal selama 4 hari (P1) dan 12 hari (P2). Analisis statistik
yang digunakan adalah uji parametrik one-way ANOVA untuk mengetahui
perbedaan kadar rerata GSH antar kelompok.
Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil uji one-way ANOVA, didapatkan perbedaan hasil kadar
rerata GSH yang tidak bermakna (p=0,426) antar kelompok penelitian.
Kesimpulan: Tidak ada pengaruh paparan uap herbal yang mengandung ekstrak
serai dapur, serai wangi, lavender, nilam, dan lemon terhadap kadar glutation
(GSH) sel eritrosit Ratus norvegicus.

ABSTRACT
THE EFFECT OF HERBAL ANTI MOSQUITO VAPOR EXPOSURE
CONTAINING CYMBOPOGON NARDUS, CYMBOPOGON CITRATUS,
LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA, POGOSTEMON CABLIN BENTH, AND
CITRUS LIMON AGAINST GLUTATHIONE (GSH) LEVELS OF RATTUS
NORVEGICUS’S ERYTHROCYTE CELLS

Background: In the last five decades the incidence of dengue fever has increased
30-fold worldwide. Indonesia is one of the countries where dengue is endemic.
The most important vector of dengue virus is the mosquito Aedes aegepty. The
use of natural insecticides relatively is safe for humans and easy to loosely in the
environment than the use of chemical insecticides. The aims of this research is
pointed out to know the effect of herbal anti mosquito vapor exposure containing
Cymbopogon nardus, Cymbopogon citratus, Lavandula angustifolia, Pogostemon
cablin benth, and Citrus limon against glutathione (GSH) levels of Rattus
norvegicus’s erythrocyte cells.
Methods: Experimental research was performed using post test only control
group design. The samples used were animal of wistar strain and healthy adult
Rattus norvegicus. There are three groups in this study; a group of control (K);
and two groups of manipulation (P) which given herbal mosquito vapor. P1 was
labelled for 4 days exposures and P2 was labelled for 12 days exposures.
Parametric one-way ANOVA was used to determine the mean differences of GSH
levels between groups.
Results: Based on the results of the one-way ANOVA test, the mean differences
of GSH levels between groups is not significant (p=0,426).
Conclusion: There is no effect of herbal anti mosquito vapor exposure containing
Cymbopogon nardus, Cymbopogon citratus, Lavandula angustifolia, Pogostemon
cablin benth, and Citrus limon against glutathione (GSH) levels of Rattus
norvegicus’s erythrocyte cells.
